Bosnia
Dzevad and Merima Kreso were successful restaurant owners in Bosnia. Hospitality was not simply a business; it was the language of their life together.
War
War took the life they had made. They left as refugees, carrying their craft, their recipes, and the resolve to begin again.
Kentucky
Their journey brought them to Bardstown, where a small Kentucky town made room for a European kitchen and an extraordinary second act.
Kreso's
Inside the restored Arco and Melody theaters, they built a beloved institution—one plate, one guest, and one evening at a time.

The building

The Arco opened in 1942; the neighboring Melody followed in 1948. Together they once seated more than 1,500 moviegoers.
